By the decision of the Executive Board of the Georgian Bar Association dated October 24, 2023, the Non-entrepreneurial (Non-commercial) Legal Entity “Georgian Bar Pro Bono Center” was established. In line with its objectives, the Center operates throughout the entire territory of Georgia.

The purpose of the Center is to promote increased social responsibility among members of the Georgian Bar Association and law firms operating in Georgia, and to improve access to justice through the provision of free legal assistance.

The governance of the Pro Bono Center is carried out by the Center’s Board, which, by decision of the Executive Board of the Georgian Bar Association, is chaired by Giorgi Tshekhani.

The activities of the Pro Bono Center will make a significant contribution to ensuring that various beneficiary groups are not deprived of access to quality justice due to financial constraints.
