The Chairman of Georgian Bar Association and Polish Bar Association signed the memorandum of cooperation

In Gdansk, Poland, CCBE (Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe) plenary session was held, which was opened by Lech Walesa and the President of CCBE- Maria Slazak. Mrs. Slazak especially highlighted the role of the chairman of GBA in the development process of a legal profession, which is the greatest achievement in our professional development. Solemnly, Georgian Bar Association and Polish Bar Association signed the memorandum of cooperation. The memorandum of agreement was signed by Mrs. Maria Slazak and Mr. Lech Walesa - former president of Poland. The session was followed by the speech of Chairman of GBA- Mr. Zaza Khatiashvili, who talked about the institutional violation of lawyers’ rights and the facts of rough interference in legal practice.

 

Georgian delegation was represented by the Chairman of GBA - Mr. Zaza Khatiashvili, member of the executive board and international secretary of GBA- Mr. David Asatiani and a young, successful lawyer – Mrs. Ketevan Svanidze. After the end of the session, Georgian delegation has met with the former president of Poland Mr. Lech Walesa.
